Fulda Cup & Saucer

This is a Fulda cup and saucer, circa 1780. Lovely polychrome flowers appear on this very rare set. In 1764 a porcelain factory was started in Fulda under Bishop Heinrich von Bibra, but it was closed down in 1789 by his successor, Bishop Adalbert von Harstall. Because of its quality and rarity, this porcelain is much prized by collectors. Condition is very good, but there several minute chips to the footrim and the lowest part of the scroll handle is chipped on the tip. The saucer is 5 inches in diameter. This set belongs to a good friend of mine. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $1800
