German Porcelain Etui

This is areally superb porcelain etui or sewing case I am sure was made in Germany in the mid 18th century. Hard to say which maker but I am leaning towards Hoechst or Frankenthal with these flowers - their quality is top notch! The piece has a nice shape to it and is hand painted with two very good quality floral arrangements - one to the front and another to the back as well as lots of smaller flowers scattered throughout. Silver mountings I believe though I cannot find a mark on that. The box is not marked which doesn't help any but is fairly normal. It is 4.375 inches tall, 1.75 inches wide and 1 inch deep. It displays superbly but has some issues - the lid has a finring crack to the inside which later on resulted in a hairline crack as shown, there also is a hairline crack to the main body as shown, a tiny chip to the bottom edge and the closing mechanism has been changed - there are two holes to one side of the piece which used to be part of the closing mechanism which were filled - one has a small flat chip next to it. The inside of the bottom mounts had a copper ring added for stability I assume, the front had a little blob added to it and the front of the top mounts a little "hook" that holds onto the blob. None of this is original but it works well. Sounds much worse than it is and the piece is still stunning and really fun to look at. None of these issues are obvious when on display at all. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
