Bavarian Scene Plate

This is a plate hand painted with a fun Bavarian / Tirolean scene in the center possibly by the famous workshop of Franz Xaver Thallmaier. It definitely dates to the late 19th century. The central scene has two gentleman in lighting up pipes with a lady playing the Zither Guitar or some sort of isntrument like that. All three are wearing traditinal clothes. In the background there is a stove with a big kttle over it and lots of other detail. The rim has two different flowers all around including Edelweiss which is extra fun and very fitting. Nice gold trim along the edge and the central well edge. All in all a really superb plate! It is 1.125 inches tall and 7.875 inches in diameter. It is not marked so a perfect attribution is close to impossible but it is definitely from that era and region and quite possibly by Thallmeier. Please email me for more information or photos.
