Blue Onion Nutcracker

This is a rare nutcracker made in Germany in the mid 19th century by a maker called Hegewald. It is marked with the impressed letters RPM used by them. These nutcrackers are rather rare and even rarer when marked. This one is handpainted with an underglaze blue onion design off course copied from the original Meissen one. The piece is in great condition and still works well. The metal could use a de-rusting but that is normal with age. This is the smaller version being about 4.375 inches tall and the base is 3 inches by 3.5 inches. Please email me for more information or photos.
