Chocolate Girl Plaque Brooch

This is a superb porcelain plaque made into a pin / brooch. The plaque was either made in Germany or Austria in the 19th century. It depicts the famous lady serving hot chocolate on a tray. Simply known as the chocolate girl one can find her on many different media including plaques , figurines and paintings, etc. The plaque is completely hand painted and off superb quality! Slight off white background. The mounts are probably brass which makes this piece look amazing. The pin part looksto have possibly been added later or fixed at some point. The plaque is in superb condition with a few minor scratches. The metal looks great from the front with a bit of wear and use marks to the back. The quality of this piece is very good and it is not a design that one finds often especially in this size and as a brooch! The visible part of the plaque is just over 1.25 inches tall and just under 1 inch wide while the entire piece is about 1.625 inches tall and just over 1.25 inches wide. Neither the porcelain nor the frame appears to be marked. Please email me for more information or photos.
