Hamburg Scene Single Cup

This is a superb scenic cup made in Germany in the early to mid 19th century. The cup is hand painted with a really nice scene of the harbor front of the city of Hamburg including the famous Baumhaus. It was build in 1662 as a customs building, etc. and stodd almost 200 year until it was demolished in 1857. The scene is superb and has some more building in it, two people as well as two boats. Great quality! The rest of the main body of the cup has a green ground to it and lots of gold trim. Gold trim to the top inside and figural handle. The scene is labeled underneath - Baumhas in Hamburg. The cup is unmarked but certainly German from this period. It is just under 3 inches tall (plus the handle) and 3.125 inches in diameter. It displays perfectly but if you look at the proper angle you see a hairline going from the top edge into the center of the scene. It is stable and lamost impossible to spot unless you search for it with a bright light. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $149
