Hannover Scene Plate

This is a plate hand painted with a scene of an area in the city of Hannover. It includes Kröpcke square including the famous clock in front of the old Café Robby. The cafe was founded in 1869 and the clock erected in 1885 I think. So this plate dates to the late 19th century. The clock that is there nowadays is a replica of this original one but the square still ahs the same name and is a big emeting point in the city. The buildings in the background are all different now so only the clock looks the same. The scene in the center is superbly done with lots of details to it. It is surrounded by a thick gold band with a thin gold band near it. The reticulated rim has some gold trim to it and a bit more gold trim on a relief design under it. I am unsure of the maker of the blank of porcelain as I do not recall this design but the piece is signed Gebr. Gaedecke udnerneath. I cannot find any info on them but they must have been a porcelain decorating studio. Either way it's a nice piece with a bit of history to it. It is just over 1 inch tall and 8.875 inches in diameter. It is not marked except for the decorators name in red as mentioned. The plate is in good condition with some wear to the gilding but no other issues. Please email me for more information or photos.
