Otto von Bismarck Plaque

This is a superb porcelain plaque made in Germany in the late 19th century. It is a portrait of Otto von Bismarck after the original oil painting from 1884 by Franz von Lenbach. The piece was painted by Ernst BrödelI who was a designer and artist that worked for KPM Berlin for a long time but also did work on his own and for other studios. Top quality piece. There are larger KPM pieces with more of the body out there but I could not find any other pieces with mainly the head. The plque is entirely hand painted with lots of detail. The plaque is of a large size being 9 inches tall, 6.625 inches wide and about 0.125 inches thick. The porcelain is not marked at all in the back but it has "Bismarck" v. Lenbach gemalt von Kunstmaler Broedel on the back as shown. Bismarck was the first Chancellor of the Germany from 1871 to 1890. Please email me for more information or photos.
