Superb Scenic Bough Pot

This is a really nice bought / bulb / flower pot made in Germany or France in the mid to late 19th century I would guess. It is of a very nice quality with lots of details to it that one normally would only find on the ealry high end stuff but I am unsure as to the maker. It has three hand painted scenes of people doing different things in a landscape surrounding as well as one superbly painted oval picture of a family with the mom feeding the baby and the gentleman dressed as Harlequin from the Commedia dell'Arte holding the pot the food is in. Each side of the bough pot has a nice design to the corners in puce, brown, orange and yellow. The top and bottom have some scroll work to them highlighted with gilding. The inside of the body has four little "shelves" that hold th lid in place. These are much nicer than most one sees as it is a detail one normally would not see. The underside inside also has some details to it one normally would not bother adding since it is invisible when on display. The lid has five larger holes for the flowers to come out of as well as four small ones and two handles to lift it easily. Each corner has a hahnd painted flower to it and there is plenty of gilding as well. The lid is a touch small but is original to the piece I would say. All in all a superb piece! It is in perfect condition with a few brown firing spots one can see in the pictures. It is not marked underneath which makes it very hard to ID. The piece is 4.375 inches tall and 4.755 inches on each side along the top. Not a huge piece but really good in terms of quality! Please email me for more information or photos.
