Sepia Scene Plate #1

This is a plate probably made by one of the Thuringia makers like Gotha or a maker like Althaldensleben around the early 19th century. It is handpainted with a very detailed scene of Schloss Schwerdtberg which is located in Oberoestereich ( somewhere towards northern Austria) in mostly brown tones. The castle is in the center of a landscape scene with lots of trees, another building, a statue and a lady walking her two dogs. It is a great quality piece and has a nice gold rim. The plate is in super condition with a tiny bit of wear. It is marked underneath the scene with the title Schloss Schwerdtberg in an old writing style and spelling no longer used. I own Gotha plates that are not marked from this time period but it might be another maker similar to them as well. The plate is 1 inch tall and 7.625 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or photos.
