Marie Antoinette Porcelain Plaque

This is a nice porcelain plaque made in Germany in the late 19th century. It is a picture of Marie Antoinette the famous mistress of Lousi the VXI. The painting is done in a transfer print outline with the rest hand painted in. Looks great- not quite as nice as a fully hand painted plaque but close. One cannot tell unless you look very closely! The lady is in the center with the edge of the plaque having a superb cobalt blue ground color to it with some fancy gilding over that. The brass mounting holds the plaque in place with four prongs and there is a round hanger at the top. A nice looking piece that is in great condition with a touch of wear to the gold trim as shown. Displays nicely! The piece is only marked with a number 22 imprssed in the back as shown. The entire piece is about 0.25 inches thick, just over 2 inches wide and 2.5 inches tall plus the circular piece at the top adds about another 0.625 inches in height.
