Gotha Creamer

This is a lidded creamer made by Gotha around 1815. Gotha is probably the best of the Thuringia makers in terms of quality of the paste and painting. They existed from 1757 until 1937 in one form or another. This creamer is a superb example of Gotha's work. It is in the classicism style and has a handpainted scene in sepia colors on each side. Ruin landscapes as is very typical of their pieces. The lid also has two small scenes on it. All around gold trim. The creamer is in super condition with light gold wear mostly to the lid, very few light scratches (the worst less than 1/4 inch) and small missing color spot to one scene. It is marked underneath in brown with the G. mark. Same color used in the scene. The creamer and lid are 4 inches tall and 2.375 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or photos.
