Gotha Floral Saucer

This is a saucer made by Gotha around 1820. Gotha is probably the best of the Thuringia makers in terms of quality of the paste and painting. They existed from 1757 until 1937 in one form or another. This saucer is handpainted with a nice floral design on the rim as well as a gold trim to the edge and around the well. Superb quality of painting. The saucer is in great condition with just a little wear to the gold trim. It is marked underneath with the overglaze script G. mark as well as an impressed number 5 or something like that. The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.125 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or photos.

Price is $249
