Gotha Saucer

This is a saucer made by Gotha around 1790. Gotha is probably the best of the Thuringia makers in terms of quality of the paste and painting. They existed from 1757 until 1937 in one form or another. This saucer is handpainted with a larger flower in the center as well as five smaller ones on the rim. Gold trim along the edge. Superb quality of painting. The saucer is in super condition with gold wear to the edge. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue R.g. mark as well as an incised + and a blue line that is very faint near the footring. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or photos.
