Drummer

This is a figurine made by Hoechst in about 1750. He is part of the choir group that Hoechst made early on. The designer was Johann Gottfried Becker. This putto is the drummer of the group having two drums in front of him. He is handpainted very simply and typical of the early period. The figurine is in OK condition with the left drum if you are looking at him from the front being a complete replacement. He is marked with the rust red wheel mark above glaze.
