Floral Cup & Saucer

This is a cup and saucer made by Hoechst in the 18th century. Both pieces are hand painted with a large floral arrangement as well as a few smaller flowers and leaves. Each has a brown trim to the rim - the trim on the cup is almost black while the one on the saucer is a lighter shade of brown. Might mean they are a marriage but I think it is jsut how they came out of the firing oven. Otherwise they fit perfectly and date to the same period. The simple handle on the cup has a bit of puce trim to it. The set is in great condition with a little wear to the brown trim and to the flowers on the saucer. The cup is unmarked underneath except for their usual incised marks while the saucer has the blue wheel mark as well as an impressed A. The cup is 1.625 inches tall and 3.125 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1 inches tall and 4.875 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
