White Pair of Shepherds

This is a large white figurine made by Hoechst in about 1770. It is called the adorned hat and was designed by Melchior. I also have the painted version on this site. The figure is of a man behind a lady holding a hat with a dog in front and a sheep besides them. Left in the white becasue of the large black firing mark on her head. The figure is in great condition with a the mentioned black spot on her head as well as a few smaller black spots, chip to the back base, one ear of the sheep is missing, the dog was off and was reglued but could be done better. The dog is missing a piece of his right back leg, a chip to the basket, his staff and chips to the tree. His pinky is half gone as well and there are a few small firing cracks. It is marked with the underglaze blue wheel mark as well as the incised letter S. The piece is about 7.125 inches tall, 10.25 inches wide and 5.5 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
