Lidded Cup

This is a fun cup with its lid likely for hot chocolate or broth made by Hoechst in the 18th century. It is marked with their typical blue wheel mark as well as some incised marks that are hard to read. The cup and lid are handpainted with a nice floral arrangement as well as some scattered single flowers, gold trim to the edge and the lid has a nice floral finial. The branch handle has some puce highlights to it. The cup and the lid are both in perfect condition. There might be one tiny chip to a petal of the flower finial with it is as good as one can hope for. Not sure if this ever had a saucer but probably. The cup and lid are 3.75 inches tall and 3.125 inches in diameter plus the handle. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
