Gentleman Musician Figurine

This is a nice little figurine of a young gentleman musician made by Höchst in the 18th century. He has one hand stretched out and a musical sheet by his feet so I imagine him serenading his lady friend :) The gentleman is nicely dressed and standing on a typical rock and grass base. Hand painted in their typical fashion. A fun figurine! He was modeled by Melchior one of the best artists in porcelain of the 18th century! The figure is modeled nicely and handpainted to perfection! He is about 4.25 inches tall, 2.125 inches wide and 1.5 inches deep. Marked underneath with the blue wheel mark as shown. The figurine displays perfectly but his outstretched hand, the musical sheet by his feet and a break across his legs ahve been restored to a high standard as shown. He displays perfectly!
