Relief Flower Bowl

This is a rare serving dish made by Hoechst in about 1760. It is handpainted with a large floral arrangement in the center inside as well as lots of smaller flowers, a gold trim to the top edge, four floral garlands to the outside corners as well as lots of relief flower decoration on the outside which is quite rare on Hoechst pieces. The relief design is very detailed and really very nice. The bowl is in great condition with the gold trim being worn and a firing crack to one corner that one can see from the outside and top but only a tiny bit on the inside top which is glazed over so it still displays perfectly from the other side! It is marked underneath with the overglaze red wheel mark as well as an incised I and S. The piece is 8 inches square. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
