Scenic Teabowl & Saucer

This is a great cup and saucer made by Hoechst in the 18th century. Both pieces are handpainted with a superb scene as well as some great little bugs / insects. Gold trim to the edge and puce trim on the cup handle. The set is in great condition with the saucer being a bit out of round shape from the firing process. There are two small glaze flakes off the cup footring. The cup is marked underneath with an underglaze blue wheel mark and an incised A and I or 1. The saucer has the rare impressed wheel mark as well as some sort of incised marks which I cannot make out. The cup is 1.625 inches tall and 2.875 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $999
