Scenic Saucer

This is a great saucer made by Hoechst in the 18th century. It is hand painted with a superb polychrome scene to the center as well as a ladybug type critter and a little leaf with a brown trim ot the edge. The piece is in great condition with just a small paint flake near the rock on the bottom. A common occurance on these early wares! The saucer is marked with the blue wheel mark as well as some incised marks one finds on their pieces as shown. The saucer is 1 inch tall and 5 inches in diameter. A really nice example of their work! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
