Square Planter #1

This is a great square vase / planter / flower pot / jadiniere / bulb / bought pot made by Hoechst in the 18th century. It is hand painted with a flower arrangement to each side in a small raised panel, has a nice raised trim along the edges and four pine cone finials to the top corners painted in turquoise. It sits on four white round feet. The flowers are superbly done and just stunnng. There is one leaf on one side painted to hide a flaw in the paste. The piece is in superb condition with some minor firing flaws common to these early pieces but not chips are repairs, etc. Some staining to the inside bottom from use. It does have five drainage holes in the bottom of the inside as shown original to the piece. It is marked underneath with an under glaze blue wheel mark as well as some incised letters as shown. The planter is 4.625 inches tall and about 3.25 inches on each side. I ahve a matching second planter but it is sadly not perfect anymore. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
