Strawflower Teapot

This is a lidded coffee or tea pot made by Hoechst in about 1770. It is handpainted with the strawflower pattern which is hard to find on Hoechst pieces! The piece is in great condition with a few tiny chips to the spout and chips to the lid. The branch connecting the fruit and the leaf on the lid is missing as well. The piece is 3.875 inches tall, 4.25 inches long and 2.75 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue wheel mark as well as the usual impressed letters.
