Nice Hutschenreuther Lady Portrait Plaque

This is a superb porcelain plaque made in Germany in the 19th century. It is hand painted with a superbly detailed portrait of a beautiful lady wearing a fancy hat with red feathers on it, a nice white shirt and ligh red top. The quality of this piece is one of the best I have seen. The tiny details are amazing and just as good if not better than a photograph. A top notch piece! I added the brass metal frame in the style of the old gesso wood frames these are often seen in. It works perfectly and comes with a little stand in the back so it can stand for display instead of hanging on the wall. a nice benefit I think! with red flowers in her hair. The portrait is all handpainted - no transfer outlines or such of the later lower quality pieces. The plaque is in perfect condition as is the frame! The plaque is about 3 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide while the entire frame is about 8.25 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide. The porcelain is marked with the impressed number 15 as well as the impressed circular CMHR Hutschenreuther mark as shown. The front edge of the plque is signed Greiner Dresden. Please email me for more information or photos.
