Irina Zaytceva Figural Mug

This is a really fun figural porcelain mug made by Russian American artist Irina Zaytceva in the later 20th century. Irina Zaytceva was born in Moscow and graduated from the Moscow Art Institute in 1982 with degree in book illustration but later found that her true love was sculpting in porcelain. Her pieces can be seen in museums in the United States as well as abroad like the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. The cup here is a very whimsical piece almost in the direction of folk art with that face attached to the front, the ears on the side and the hand clutching a ball forming the handle. Just makes you smile everytime you look at it. Definitely unlike anything else you'll come across. The piece is in perfect condition! It is signed in the back N. Zay in orange as shown. The piece is 5.25 inches tall including the handle, about 5 inches from handle to the other end and 3.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
