Kloesterle Cup

This is a cup made by Klösterle in the 18th century. I mainly bought it because it has a mark I had not seen outside of books and thought it would be a perfect example for the site but it is also a nicely done cup! Typical shape for the later 18th century with the square handle it has a hand pained scene to the front of a semi nude lady in a little landscape. She is wearing a white skirt with a blue cloth around the middle section and a red cloth hanging over her should leaving her breasts exposed. Gold trim to the bottom and top edge as well as the handle. The piece is just under 2.375 inches tall and 2.375 inches in diameter. It is marked with the under glaze blue letter K with a line next to it as shown. The cup is in great condition with a bit of wear to the gilding but it displays perfectly. Please email me for more information or photos.
