Korzec Coffee Pot

This is a rare small coffee pot with its lid made by Korzec in the late 18th century. Korzec was started by Joseph Klemens Prince Sartoryski in 1790 and made porcelain until about the mid 19th century. It is quite rare and hard to find. The pot is hand painted with a floral arrangement to the front and back as well as a couple of small flowers in between mainly to hide flaws in the porcelain paste. The nicely shaped handle and spout each have some puce trim to them. The lid has a nice pine cone finial also decorated in puce, three small flowers and a brown trim to the edge. Flat shape which is what they did unlike many other makers who used more of a dome shape for this type of pot. The pot is marked with only an impressed letter K as shown - the lid has an incised number 3. The piece is in perfect condition with the occasional firing flaw. The pot is 6.75 inches tall, 4.5 inches from handle to spout and 3.5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
