Early Reliefzierat Scenic Cup

This is a superb cup made by KPM around 1765. KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time. It is hand painted with two very nice scenes - one to either side. One scene is of a mother with two of her children and the other of a father with his daughter. The scenes are surrounded by a nice gold trim with a yellow ground color to the top edge of the cup, yellow lines between the scenes and some nice gold designs over that in the shape of branches with leaves and flowers. I do believe this design is called Reliefzierat mit Stabrelief . Nice early handle shape highlighted with puce and gold. The cup is in superb condition with a bit of wear to the gold trim on the top edge as shown. No other issues otherwise - about as good a shape as you can hope for! The cup is just under 2.75 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter and an impressed 2. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
