Blue Flowers Basket

This is a nice reticulated basket made by KPM around 1780. A nicely hand painted piece with deep cobalt blue flowers and butterflies around the outside bottom, a large arrangement to the inside bottom as well as another small flower and a butterfly. Molded handles with some applied leaves and flowers coming off them. The basket is in superb condition with a firing crack to the inside top part of one arch as shown as well as a large black firing spot by the large floral arrangment. Both are original to the making fo the basket! The piece is 3.875 inches tall (including the handles), 8.25 inches wide and 7.625 inches deep. It is marked underneath with an 18th century underglaze blue scepter mark as well as some impressed numbers and two lines. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
