Sepia Scene Saucer w/Gilding

This is a great saucer made by KPM in the late 18th century. KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time. The saucer is hand painted with a really nice scene in brown tones and some superb gilding surrounding the scene with a gold ring on the rim. The scene is very detailed with a guy riding a horse over a bridge, another gentleman walking across it as well as some buildings and the usual "greenery". The saucer is 1.125 inches tall and 5.125 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark as well as the usual impressed numbers and two lines a typical way of marking their early wares. The lines are usually a size indicator they used in the late 18th century. The saucer is in great condition with a little wear to the the scene as shown towards the bottom and top part.
