Giant Platter

This is a huge round platter made by KPM around 1780. It is the largest old piece I have ever owned being a wopping 2.375 inches tall and 16.75 inches in diameter! Amazing that it has survived all these years. The peice is handpainted with a large floral arragenment in the center as well as 5 smaller flowers around that and two twigs. The central flower is almost as large as a normal plate! The rim has a nice green and blue leaf garland on it with a gold trim to the edge. The platter is in perfect condition with just a few minor scratches and very ltitle wear to the gold. The plate is marked underneath with the scepter in underglaze blue and a blue line as a painters mark. There is also an impressed 25 and four dots near the footring. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1249
