Large Rose Design Serving Dish

This is a large plate / charger / serving dish made by KPM around in the late 18th century. KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time. The piece is hand painted with three rose designs in the well of the plate with four green tones bugs / butterflies covering tiny firing flaws. The rim has a green band wound around a gold ring and the nicely shaped edge has a gold trim to it. A great lloking piece that is larger than most one finds and makes a real statement when on display! The plate is in great condition with some wear to the gold trim on the edge. Not bad at all especially for being a good 200 years old! The dish is 1.875 inches tall and 12.5 inches in diameter and is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark (with a bug right near it covering a firing flaw) as well as two lines on the footring (a size reference) and a number 13 (I believe). The rbown line near the mark is a discolored scratch - not a hairline or crack! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $699
