Single Scenic Cup

This is a nice coffee can shaped cup made by KPM around 1780. KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time and in this case a blue line as a painter's mark. It is hand painted with a nice scene to the front including two ladies sitting down and doing different things. One looks to be writing and the other spinning some yarn. The scene is really nicely done and of superb quality. The rest of the cup has a pink and gold trim around the top edge, a gold trim around the bottom edge and a gold design tot he handle. The piece is in superb condition with just touch of minor gold wear to the top edge. The cup is 2.375 inches tall and just under 2.5 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark, a blue line, an impressed number 32 and four lines I believe. Typical for this time period. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
