Floral Spoon

This is a great spoon made either by KPM or by Meissen in the mid to later 18th century. It has two hand painted floral scenes on the porcelain handle as well as some nice gilding on a relief design. The metal parts are gold colored - I am assuming it is bronze by the look of it and original to the period. The metal part goes into the handle and there is a spot coming out on the other end to fasten it in place which was only done on early pieces! The piece is in superb condition with a tiny bit of wear to the gilding. The spoon is 7.75 inches long of which 3 inches is the length of the visible porcelain handle. The handles are about 0.875 inches wide. The porcelain is not marked or shall we say visibly marked since it would be hidden by the ferrule if it were to be marked which is normal. The bronze is not marked either! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
