Black & Puce Floral Teapot

This is a teapot made by KPM around 1770. KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time. Both pieces are handpainted in black and puce with a nice floral arrangement on either side, some smaller flowers and a nice gold trim. Nice flower finial on the lid. The painting is of superb quality even for KPM. The teapot is in great display condition but the tip of the spout has a repair which is not very obvious at all and the lid has two rim chips and some small chipping to the flower petals. Also I believe that the lid is from another part of this teaset as it should be a bit smaller and sit inside the opening but it looks perfect when on display and there are some that sit like this so I am not 100% on that. There is some tape residue to where someone taped the lid down which needs to get cleaned off and I might even get around to that myself :) The teapot is about 5 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter mark. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
