Floral & Matte Blue Saucer

This is a nice saucer made by KPM around the 1840. It is hand painted with a ring of really nice looking red and white flower blossoms with some sort of toher design in between in the same colors which are all connected by gold stems and some leaves. The space in between was done with my favorite of all colors - the matte blue ground color. Thick gold trim to the rim and around the well of the dish with a little more gilding in the center. It's a stunning looking decoration but I cannot figure out what flower this might be. Normally I am pretty good at these. The saucer is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter over the letters KPM as well as the red orb mark, a painter's mark and an impressed number as shown. The piece is just under 1 inch tall and 6.5 inches in diameter. It is in great condition with a little wear to the gilding mainly along the high points of the area along the edge of the well. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $199
