Amazing Lidded Trembleuse Cup & Saucer

This is an amazing lidded cup and saucer made by KPM around 1780. KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time. The cup is handpainted with a monogram of the letter P held up by two angels which are handpainted with superb detail. Two small flower arrangements to the sides of the cup and a intertwined branches type handle. The angels are superb but the puce and gold trim design is the icing on the cake! I think this is KPM's most expensive rim decor and it is rarely seen. The saucer has the same trim and three floral arrangements plus in the trembleuse raised reticulated rim center with a blue flower in the middle. And then we have the lid which one rarely ever sees since they usually get lost. Same trim plus a large floral design and two small flowers with a flower finial that is top notch! The set is in great condition. The saucer has a tiny chip to the very edge as well as a small chip to the edge both of which would be an easy fix if need be. The lid had been broken into two pieces but it was a very clean break and mended and does not show unless you are right on top of the set and look for it. The cup is 2.5 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter. The lid adds about 1.25 inches in height and is 3 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and 5.125 inches in diameter. Both the saucer and cup are marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter and a gold 17. underneath as well. The lid has a gold13. underneath. Green butterfly underneath the saucer rim to hide a flaw - it is original to the piece and a common thing they did back then. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
