Bird Scene Cup & Saucer

This is a superb cup and saucer made by KPM in the 18th century. KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time. Both pieces are hand painted with a nice bird scene as well as some tiny butterflies and a nice gold trim. Each scene includes two birds sitting on some branches with its leaves on it. Nice handle that has a bit of gold trim and some gilding to the top edges as well. The scenes are of a good quality! The set is in superb condition with some wear to the gilding along the very edge of the cup mainly. The cup is 1.875 inches tall and 3.125 inches in diameter. The saucer is 1.25 inches tall and just under 5.25 inches in diameter. Both are marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark as well as an impressed number as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
