Giant Bird Scene Serving Tray

This is a giant oval serving tray made by KPM around 1780. The center of this piece has a superb gigantic handpainted bird scene in it with the rim having a nice raised design highlighted by gilding and in between are lots of top quality bugs and butterflies scattered around. The handles have an added green trim to them in between the gold. The quality is top notch and the tray is in superb condition with a little bit wear to the gilding on the outside edge. The piece is marked underneath with the scepter in underglaze blue and an impressed number 23 or 22 the last digit being hard to read. The serving tray is 2.625 inches tall, 20 inches wide and 15.125 inches deep. There are five support underneath around the mark to make sure it fired correctly due to its size.
