Carrot Seller Figurine

This is I believe one figurine of the Cris de Paris set made by KPM around 1780. I am calling him the carrot seller but he is selling some kind of root vegetable not sure what kind of if different kinds not that it matters much :) The figurine was left in the white to show off the nice detail of the modeling. I like these better that way! Figurines by KPM from this period are not easy to find at all. The figurine is in great condition with the very tip of one of the carrots in his hand chipped off but that is hard to notice it is so minor. Also a just as small chip to the tip of one of the carrots in his basket. The hat has a spot that I thought might be a tiny chip but it is glazed over and was made this way. There is a firing crack in the back of the base by his right foot which is also from the making. All in all in superb condition and he displays perfectly! The figurine is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter mark underneath as shown as well as an incised SM. which might be an artist and is a bit unusual on KPM pieces since artist marks are rare during this period. The figurine is 4.25 inches tall, 2 inches wide and 1.625 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
