Decorated Potpourri Dish

This is a nice little potpourri dish made by KPM in the early 20th century. I have seen this shape before but never decorated always in white so it was a nice treat to find this version here. The lid is heavily reticulated with a nice design of circular openings around the edge and a more fancy design towards the central finial. The bottom is solid so it could hold something nice smelling like floral petals or even some soft of liquid. The dish is decorated with this nice cobalt blue with some gold trim. It's always a great combination in terms of colors but looks amazing on this piece with the openwork on the lid. A great looking example! The piece is in perfect condition and is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark, the red orb as well as the usual impressed marks of this period as shown. It is about 2.875 inches tall including the finial and has a diameter of about 4.625 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $229
