Early 19thC Floral Basket

This is a nice reticulated basket made by KPM around 1800. It is not easy to find an early version of these in good condition these days. This one is nicely hand painted with a decent quality floral design with four butterflies in the bottom inside, nice reticulated sides highlighted in gilding and some nice leaf shaped terminals to the handles. Really a very nice piece! The basket is in great condition with some very minimal wear to the gilding (in superb shape for being 200 years old!) and a small chip to one leaf of the terminals as shown but it is not obvious at all and took me a while to find. The piece is 3.75 inches tall (including the handles), 9.625 inches wide and 7.25 inches deep. It is marked underneath with an early under glaze blue scepter mark as well as an incised double line which is a size reference and a line with a triangle - not sure what exactly that stands for. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $749
