Early Coffee Pot

This is a nice lidded small coffee pot made by KPM in the 18th century. KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time. The piece is hand painted with a nice floral arrangement on either side as well as a small flower in the front and two more on the lid. The handle and spount have a nice green trim with some gilding to the spout and relief flowers with their leaves coming off the handle terminals. The lid has a floral finial to it. Nice relief pattern to the porcelain itself with a basketweave design to the top edge as well as the lid. The pot is in superb condition with two chips to petals of the finial and some gold wear to the trim on the lid edge. The piece is 6 inches tall with the lid, 5.25 inches tall without the lid and 3.5 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter mark as well as the normal impressed/incised marks of the period. A very nice piece! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $749
