Nice Reticulated Plate

This is a superb reticulated plate made by KPM in the 18th century. KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time. The plate is handpainted with a nice floral garland and star design to the center, three butterflies to the edge of the bowl part and a nicely reticulated rim highlighted with green and puce with an oakleaf design tot he edge. Not a design one sees often at all and it looks very stunning. The plate is in perfect condition with a little stacking wear to the white area but minor and not visible unless you look for it at the perfect angle against a bright light. The piece is 1.5 inches tall and 9.375 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter with a blue line above as a painter's mark as well as the usual impressed numbers and three lines to the footring.
