Floral Plate w/Restored Chips

This is a nice looking reticulated floral plate made by KPM in the late 18th century. KPM used no painters mark like the red orb yet during this period thus you only have the blue scepter and impressed marks most of the time. The plate is hand painted with a nice floral arrangement in the center that is very typical for them as well as three bugs / insects / butterflies with a thin pink trim around the edge fo the well. The rim has a nicely reticulated design with the very edge having a nice leaf garland and pink and black trim design to it. The plate displays nicely but has three thin flat chips restored to the top edge as shown. No damage to the underside. One has to expect this sort of damage sometimes after 200 plus years. The restoration is pretty good and is only visible upon close inspection. The plate is 1.375 inches tall and 9.625 inches in diameter. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter it as well as the usual impressed marks as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
