Fun Bulldog Figurine

This is a fun and quirky dog figurine made by KPM in the 20th century. The figure was originally designed by Tommi Parzinger around 1927. He did a few different dogs and they are all rather hard to fnd especially the painted versions. I also have a pekinese dog by him on the site. Tommi Parzinger was born in 1903, he left Germany in 1935 for the USA and founded a business for furniture and died in 1981 in NY City. The figure here looks to be a bulldog that was taking a nap until it heard something interesting and lifted one ear to hear better in order to see if it is worth getting up :) Nicely modeled and painted and a joy to look at. So different from other dog figurines in the procelain world. Much more fun! The little guy or gal is 2.25 inches tall at the ear, 3.25 inches long and 2.125 inches wide. The figure is marked underneath with an under glaze blue scepter mark, a red orb, some impressed numbers as well as red numbers and a painter's mark as shown. In perfect condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
