Scenic Lithophane Cup & Saucer

This is a rare cup and saucer made by KPM in the mid 19th century. These cups are extremely rare especially with scenes on them - I was quite excited when I found it (yeah I know I am a porcelain geek!). The shape of the cup and saucer is just plain superb, then you ahve the amazingly detailed and superb quality scene of Jesus carrying the cross on the front, a swan shaped handle, lots of amazing gold but the best part is the superb lithophane in the bottom of the cup of an angel with a putto and some flowers. The saucer has two rows of a pearl necklace type design that the cup also has and a nice gold design in the center. Doesn't get better than this. The set is in great condition with a tiny bit of gold wear (really very little) and the bottom of the handle has a stress crack in it that kicked a small chip out of the side. Doesn't take away from the piece and if need be an easy fix but I'd just leave it be! The cup is a bit over 3.5 inches tall plus the handle which is another 1.25 inches higher and 3.5 inches in diameter. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and 6.25 inches in diameter. The saucer is marked underneath with the underglaze blue scepter mark that is hard to see and the cup has the mark sqeezed on the very edge of the bottom so it doesn't interfere with the lithophane! Also some sort of incised mark on one foot. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
