As Is Knife & Fork

This is a nice knife and fork set made by KPM in the 18th century. Each handle has two hand painted floral arrangements to it in the typical style of KPM as well as two smaller single flowers and gold trim to the end. The metal parts look to be brass and or are possibly gilded. More than likely they were added later or replaced and either one is completely loose now and you can just take them out. I left them that way just in case the buyer does not want them or has original parts they can use. The end piece on the other side of the porcelain is a gold point which looks great. They are do not move and are soliddly attached. The ferrule is also brass. The knife handle is in good condition with two tiny chips that did not come out on the blade side. The fork handle is in great condition but is shorter than the knife handle. Might have been shortened. A really nice set that is hard to find! Neither piece is marked! The fork is 8.125 inches long of which 3.375 inches is the length of the visible porcelain handle. The knife is 9.25 inches long of which 3.75 inches is the length of the visible porcelain handle. The handles are about 0.75 inches wide. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $399
