Neuzierat Single Cup

This is a superb cup made by KPM in the mid 19th century. It is not often one sees an early version of the Neuzierat design. Most pieces are 20th century ones. So here we have a nice treat. A single cup from the service that is hand painted with two high quality floral scenes and well as two single flowers with that amazing raised gold trim in between the flowers and along the rim as well as more really ncie gold trim to the inside rim of the cup and the nicely shaped handle. This style of design is still quite popular today! The cup is marked underneath with the under glaze blue scepter mark with the penny mark below it as well as the red orb and the usual painter's and impressed marks of this period as shown. The cup is in perfect condition. It is 2.125 inches tall and has a diameter of 3.125 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
